Started my Rumford last night for the first time! Wow what a great fireplace! The large 36x36 opening never smoked and once it got hot, it would heat anything.

I love the tall opening. It allows you to burn tall bright fires. (unlike the standard squatty fireplaces!) I stood up a couple 24" logs in there and those really went!

Thanks for bringing this fireplace design back, it really works nice.
