Smoke Zapper

We just had a client use one in a multistory building in downtown Boston. They have had mixed results in terms of cleanliness of the effluent. This building is new and the roof surface is white. The landlord is concerned about soot staining on the roof material. Other buildings can look down upon his roof. Water consumptions is very high. The proposed solution is to install the next size up which, in theory, has a greater capacity to wash more soot from the exhaust before its drawn the roof vent.

It's a pretty cool system in many ways but not without frequent maintenance, and from our experience, requires accurate sizing and potentially over-sizing.
