Steel and iron screens are meant of indoor use. They can be used outdoors but probably will need re-painting every so often Here is advice that Pilgrim offers: There are a couple of ways to get rid of rust. 1. Sandblast the whole screen and paint it = Not necessarily something every home owner can do. 2. One can use a "rust spray reformer" to spay over the entire screen to prohibit new rust and blocks old rust from "growing". After the screen has been sprayed with a rust inhibitor they can spray paint the screen in a high temp spray paint.
