Installation of Vestal or other dome style damper with modified longer handle to fit narrow Rumford throat. When setting the damper be sure that the top back edge of the curved throat (2) is aligned with the front inner edge of the throat opening of the damper (1) and that the back of the damper frame lines up with the fireback and does not block the throat opening.
