Multi-Sided Fireplaces
12/20/21

Multi-sided fireplaces such as "see-throughs", round, triangular, peninsula, or other unconventionally shaped fireplaces are not recommended. They are characteristically temperamental and inefficient and probably will not draw well even when fitted with exhaust fans. If fitted with doors, the doors get smoky.

Back-to-back Rumfords are always more attractive, more versatile, more efficient and less troublesome than any "see-through" or "multi-sided" fireplace.
