Jim- Those eight 24-inch fireplaces I purchased (Allied Concrete in Charlottesville VA) too many years back; well, my home project gets going again. Phase one was the first five (in one chimney) while the cartons and bits-&-pieces for the last three (chimney-2) have been languishing in my basement since about 2001. It looks as though I am going to gain back some floor space - I found a new mason-assist (the first fellow past away) and I have for the most part healed psychologically from the first effort. BTW his name is Stacey Riley, here in the Shenandoah Valley and he is right on top of the Rumford thing - he just did a nice 4-fireplace job for one of my projects specifying the 42" kits - which also used those new carbon-steel dampers.

I will have a series of new images to update my 'current' page on my website - for my Bath County (VA) house project which features four Rumford-42 fireplaces and some nice stone-faced chimneys. (see two images attached) Maybe those are the fireplaces that finally bought your new company Mercedes sporty convertible, no? Marc Paxton
