Attached please find a photo of the finished product. ... Yes, we poured it in place and used the fiber paper wrap.  Concrete is always tricky but it all went very well. The total cast concrete chimney height is about 17 feet above the hearth; 18'-6" above the patio floor. The mantel is powder-coated steel by local blacksmith Don Eastman. The redwood posts, beams, & siding are from salvaged material supplied by Arborica, a wonderful resource that's only a couple of miles down the road from the Ranch. They also supplied American Elm for the wood floors, Coast Cypress for interior posts, beams, paneling, trim, & cabinetry, and spectacular Black Acacia slabs for countertops and tables...
