This is a picture of my 42" Rumford. I originally had built a masonry fireplace with a raised hearth about 23 years ago with a Vermont castings insert. After visiting your site I decided to gut it and make it a Rumford.

I'm a masonry contractor and have built traditional masonry fireplaces for over 40 years. I couldn't be happier with my Rumford and have recommended them to everyone who wants a masonry fireplace. I've also Rumfordized a 100 year old plus fireplace and the owners couldn't believe the difference.
