OLD WORLD WISCONSIN BREWING EXPERIENCE DFDM / WHS / Old World Wisconsin Eagle, WI The Old World Wisconsin Brewing Experience is the implementation of phase one of a decades-long master planning process for the Guest Entry Experience at Old World Wisconsin. This project encapsulates the centuries-old tradition of beer brewing brought to Wisconsin by European immigrants. Within the space, volunteers will demonstrate the traditional brewing techniques and recipes, brewing beer over an open fire in large brick fireplaces, while visitors watch and learn about the history of this craft. They may also purchase and quaff the on-site brewed beer from the copper-topped bar built within the space, and taste a traditional beer made from ingredients grown at the on-premises farmsteads. The Brewing Experience will be co-located with the historic Wittnebel’s Tavern which is being moved 30 miles from its stone foundations in Old Ashippun Wisconsin. The Tavern and surrounding beer garden will be implemented as phase 2 of the Master Plan The project Budget of $2.1 Million includes costs for infrastructure improvements on the site and foundations for the relocated tavern.
