Dear Jim,
Our home is finally complete and our fireplace works wonderfully. The mason is Marc Pomerleau of Hawley, PA. He's a French Canadian by nationality and, amazingly, is 67 years of age. He's a bit of the not so fast pace, but methodical and very thorough. He's also of the "old school" and was at first hesitant of a Rumford, continually asking us to let him do the conventional style design to which he is so accustom. This was his first and I'm not sure he's totally convinced. However, it works great and we're very pleased.
I have a few digital pictures (jpg format) of so-so quality and will gladly forward them on but wanted to be sure before clogging up your e-mail.
